Brits In... Wait for it... Cowboy Hats
British fashion is chic, on-trend, and sleek. Brits often rock more Avant-garde street chic fashion brands like Supreme, Comme de Garcons, and London-based brand Brixton-- I'll let you guess where it's from. Fashion is a staple in the culture of London. But they're missing something. Something big. Like cowboy hats. What better way to utilize Fashion PR and introduce iconic western wear into the bustling streets of London than the biggest fashion show since LFW (London Fashion Week).
Because the event integrates American-Western fashion into the British scene, I would invite the biggest names in fashion: Maison Margiela, Terry Mugler, Balmain, and Diore Homme to give their interpretation on Western wear and the soon-to-be hottest accessory- the Stetson hat. Because I'm appealing to the British population, the designer's work would be showcased by London's top models; Cara Delevigne, Poppy Okatcha, Evangeline Ling, Hannah Shakespeare, and incomparable classics-- Naomi Campbell and Twiggy.
The event would take be broadcast live on ITV, MTV, and live tweeted on Twitter using the hashtag #WildHauteWest, bringing an elegant twist on the true southwestern garb. Audiences will be able to check into the event on Facebook, Twitter, and use the snapchat filter for their posts. In addition to, there would be a snapchat story for the specific event. This would be the best way to ensure live, interactive experiences via social media. The show would place in Royal Albert Concert Hall on the northern end of South Kensington. Similar to the MET Gala, red carpet appearances will be western themed. To ensure this success, I will work with KCD Worldwide London, the top fashion PR Company in the nation, to ensure that all stars are in appearance and in full regalia.
What would an integrative fashion show be without an open bar? Drinks at the show will showcase Texas made beers like Pabst Blue Ribbon, Shinerbock, Dallas Blonde, and signature cocktails made with Titos, Deep Eddy's, and Western Son's vodka. Guests will be able to share 10 gallon drinks out of their 10 gallon hats, then strut their stuff.
Everyone in London wears the same thing, especially in burroughs like Shoreditch, Camden, and many others. Western wear will take an old Texan classic and give it new life in the U.K. It would work well because London is always so consumed with finding something "new" and claiming it to be the next hip-thing. So, what better way to find something fresh than to give the people something brand new. Additionally, this introduction of Texan fashion might introduce more tex-mex restaurants and, hopefully, chips and queso.
